Los Angeles Regional
http://www.milkenknights.com/nateav.jpg We had fun at the L.A regional this past weekend. Overall we did well at and were the alternate team during the finals. (If we had scored two more goals during our last game we would have been a finalist team and would have been able to select other teams for a final alliance)

We would also like to congratulate our team leader Nathan Schloss on becoming a finalist for the "Dean's List" award.

Back from Israel
http://www.milkenknights.com/nateav.jpg Despite all of the problems during the Israeli regional (see http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=84353), we still had fun being on a final alliance with teams 1954 and 2213. Thanks guys!

We are now safely back in the US and are excited for the Los Angeles regional this weekend.

Day one of the Israeli Regional
http://www.milkenknights.com/nateav.jpg Day one of the Israeli regional went well, we were able to get autonomous working, our robot can drive and kick, but our lifter poll broke and we cannot fix it while we are in Israel.

We leave for Israel soon
http://www.milkenknights.com/nateav.jpg On February 23rd our robot was shipped to Israel. On March 7th we will follow it there and we will be competing with it from March 14-16 in Tel Aviv.

We are very excited to go and compete.

In preparation we have been working on a new hook for our lifter and we will be taking it with us to Israel.

After competing in Israel we will imminently ship our robot back to Los Angeles.

Today, we went to Harvey Mudd College for a robotics scrimmage. After around 6 hours of working on our robot we tested it out in two matches. These two matches would be the decider of the new driver. The first match we scored 2 goals, which was the most out of any robot on the field and on the next match we only scored one, again the most points scored by a single robot. By the end of the day i think that we were all happy with our performance at Harvey Mudd.

Today we finished this year’s animation! The video was due at 5 o clock and we turned it in just in time. The robot is almost done. Today we mainly worked on the lifter. Tomorrow we are going to try to find the driver for the Israel regional competition. Today we also created a list of all the possible tools we should bring to Israel.[/align]

http://www.milkenknights.com/nateav.jpg Today many of the students went to Pressman Academy (a local middle school) and met with them to assist the school in starting a new Lego robotics team.

During the robotics meeting code was worked on and the lifter was tested and ideas for fixing it were later proposed.
