RE: The Game
We definitely need to program something during the autonomous mode, even if it is just to drive around in circles. Otherwise, the robot will just sit next to the human player who can throw all of the balls in the trailer.

RE: The Game
Maybe we could buy some of the material that the field will be made of and set up a mini arena and see how our old robot drives on it.

RE: The Game
I agree, we need to get some of the floor materials to get a feel for driving on it ASAP-

RE: The Game
I think we should build a robot similar to the killer bunny 2 years ago that can go under the tower between the bumps. Accept this time, we should build it with a push/shoot mechanism and and two poles on each side of the shooting mechanism to help aim and catch soccer balls. I drew up a small picture of what I have in mind and I'll bring it to the meeting on sunday.

RE: The Game
from the animation, the ground material looked like astroturf, but its probably not. I'm sure we can email/call someone at FIRST and they'll tell us how to get it. once we have it, we can set it up in the classroom

RE: The Game
This is an old thread from last year, you will notice that it is in the archive folder.
